Hi Everyone,

New Nuke Momma here... My Sailor, Erik, just arrived and is in the bush trimming stage of his A School education. ;D He's an ET and so happy to be at Goose Creek.

Well, Perry called today and he'll be coming home next Wednesday to move me to SC! I'm very happy to finally be reunited with him again and just in time for his birthday! I was so worried he'd have to spend it without me. He's not looking forward to it. We're only 3 years from 30!

ok.. cuz the way it was explained to him at BC was that after signing whatever paper he signed, he would only ever be attached to a sub... not a carrier... i really hope they didn't "misinform" him because he will be VERY disappointed

awesome! thanks so much for sharing what you've experienced. It has definitely been helpful!

Question about subvols...
My Boyfriend signed his submarine contract saying that he will only serve on a sub... no surface duty. Does that mean there is still a chance he won't get a sub? Did your guys sign/not sign this contract in bootcamp?

how long is the t-track (on average) from power to prototype if they get sent to new york?
and where do they spend the time in between? sc or ny?
I'm planning on moving to wherever my boyfriend is next june when i'm done with school and am trying to start getting a few things figured out. obviously i know everything is subject to change
Thanks!

Just so you all know, not all subvols actually get subs. My husband was a subvol and he's on a carrier. Its the same with about 10 other guys we know.

Rylons- that is some excellent information there. That answers my question perfectly. Now I'll just have to wait and see if that is in fact how it turns out (never know with the Navy lol). Thanks a million.

Thanks Jennifer. I really appreciate the info. I just want to be prepared. :)

So nobody has any issues with noisy neighbors? I've never had good luck with apartment/townhome living. I could always tell exactly what my neighbors were watching on tv at 2am or have my whole apartment shake whenever anyone in my building came home slamming their doors. But my least favorite is knowing exactly how well my neighbor's love life is doing. I've always been a really respectful neighbor so I'm hoping beyond hope that my new neighbors will be the same.
