Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Kimmydee, it all depends on the needs of the Navy.

Hi Deborah....yep, they definitely have minds of their own by this point in life. I pretty much take the same approach you do....."oh well" in the big picture of life, even those big tatoo's are small things, something I think we learn when our kids choose the path in life that they have. Hope you enjoy the heck out of your last few days with your son. I don't think it's really possible for them to realize what those hugs mean to us when they are still so young.

David & Kathi, I never really thought about it, but that is SO true!

She was so excited to tell me that she met you, Destinye. She was so grateful for the goodie bag that you gave her. Thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing the pictures you took. She is feeling better. Thank God.

Nancy~ I met your baby today and she seems to be doing much better. She was a very nice girl and I was sure she got a goodie bag. I took a few pictures, but my computer is acting funny so I'll have to send them tomorrow. You should be proud!!!

Probably (once again) it depends on the Command. Kelcie is in Japan, and they are not allowed to get them over there, so she adds more each time she is home on leave.
Word of warning to Mom's of kids in "A" school. When Kelcie was there, they were constantly being told that they had to be "tazed" as part of their training, but it turned out that it was just something to keep them "on edge". So if any of your kids hear this......tell them not to worry. OC is the worst thing they have to go through.

Nany~ Do you mind me asking your daughter's last name? I may have met her. I met a lot of the people in his clas yesterday. If you are okay with me knowing you can private message it to me.

Yep Janie, I'd definitely say it's a "generation" thing. Both of my girls have ink, my sailor MUCH more so than our 26 year old who now laughs about where her "tramp stamp" is going to be located in a few years :>) Our son on the other hand would NEVER have ink (not that his wife would allow him to, even if he wanted it) :>)
Comment by janieflorida on July 17, 2010 at 8:36pm
I think we have a generation gap here. All the young people seem to have ink in very visible places. I have one but you can't see it. HAH
