Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Back in April 2012, he then went to DLI in Monterey and completed 63 weeks of Arabic studies before going to MA school.

My son, who is top dog in his class, had the #1 pick of duty stations today, although he could have chosen some nice places, he went with doing Harbor Patrol Unit in Bahrain and was very excited about picking this duty station. Time for me to start doing more research on this billet.

My MA is three years out of "A" school, but I recall they put them into any & all scenarios that they may face as MA; irregular, long, tedious, stressful, dangerous & my Chris's fav, boring.

He has been OD'd several times; in practice & on duty. He even had to re certify at his new base & since it had been three years since last certification. He was laughing about getting tear gassed while in Bahrain, that it was nothing compared to OC! His allergies were exacerbated by the OC, took almost 3 - 4 days for it to fully wear off. Yeah, tear gas the guy any day. He hates OC.

Oh boocoo the pictures were not pretty, she was really red and swollen...she texted me some pretty funny commentary about it, with some choice words to describe it...lol....  I spoke to her tonight for just a moment, but she sounded good too.  I think they were just glad to get it over with....

I didn't see any pics of my son after pepper spray today, but he did call me and tell me he did well and at the moment was huddled on his barracks room floor! LOL! He sounded pretty good actually and excited about picking orders this week.

Congratulations to your sailor:)  Mine is in A school right now, and she just sent me pictures of getting pepper sprayed today...aka devils piss...I felt really bad for her, but I think she looks at it as a right of passage...oh goodness...

I just received good news from my sailor.  They are getting a 'promotion' of sorts starting tomorrow I think.  I only got to talk to them for a couple of minutes today before they had to go to guard duty, but it sounds like the job is going to be a day job and they will be helping organize everyone they work with in their section and such?  They were picked by the person they are replacing for the job and from the sounds of it, only the top few people in their position can get the opportunity to have this position.  It's basically a 'thank you for working so hard' nod.  I'm very excited and while I cannot remember what they said the name of the position is... I'm wondering if you guys know what I'm talking about and if you can give any feedback for what I should expect?  I'm hoping this will calm things down a bit for us with the steady work hours and all..  :)

Yes, it is very good info. Definitely will refer back to it often before we go.
