Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Welcome aboard shipmate! I am also former Navy. Got our when I was pregnant with my son that is now in the Navy. I was a DC. He is a 4 th generation sailor. I have so much more pride for him than I ever felt for myself being in. Glad of the choices he has made!

Welcome Macamerson! I think the hardest thing about boot camp was the no communication. My son is in A school now, he graduates in early August. ( lackland ) then off to Bahrain. I hope his career in the Navy is everything he wants it to be.

Hi.  I'm new (my name is Mary) and my son (Kevin) is currently in bootcamp, day #6 now.  I was advised to joing this group since his rate will be MA.  Just an FYI - I'm a retired MAC - I got out in 95 when I had my son that has now joined.  I retired early as I was a single mom.  I loved the Navy.  I became a MA in 1987 - I changed over from AZ.  The school at the time was at Fort McClellan Al.  I KNOW this rate has changed a lot since my days in.  Thanks for letting me join.

halee... yes I am... and I can not wait...

Comment by lemonelephant on June 25, 2013 at 7:03pm

halee, sometime between now and the end of BC you will also want to join San Antonio MA's; the discussion, Break down week by week, will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio).  The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 938 is Sticks/Flags. I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) while you are there and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the members) as well. Division 938 had to wait for others to arrive and fill the division and then finish P-days. They had holiday routine for the first time on Sunday and were able to write, so you should be receving a "real" letter this week.

Comment by halee on June 25, 2013 at 11:51am

Hi moms. My son too will graduate 8/2. Div 938. I'm still waiting for a letter from him. Guess they had some mail issues in his Div.  Laura , are you attending graduation ? I am.
