Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Anyone's MA in Bahrain?  My son has been there for about a month.  He says that he has not been attached to a section yet.  Any knowledge of what MA's do in Bahrain?

I think the hardest part for me right now (other than the fact that were back to not seeing each other) is that I have no idea what the future holds! I just want to know if I should keep my hopes up for him being stationed somewhere that is accomopanied! I keep saying idc where we go as long as we can go together! If I could just know we get to go somewhere tgthr, I might actually be able to breath again! ha

Thanks lemonelephant and snowmanmom! Snowmanmom I'm glad to hear you are getting letters! I stalked the mail man every Thursday for letters while my Hubby was in BC. He was always so good at writing me! I would get 3/4 letters in one envelope! Those letters are like gold to them! I wrote my husband everyday.. He told me thats what got him through it!

Jessica1028 I am thankful you are on here also.  I stated to someone or on another site that I really feel part of the Navy family, I will look for your posts to help me and also to know about my son, I have to admitt he has wrote me letters more than i thought.   We had so much trouble with him writing "son of little words".  My letters are pretty good, even his friends are pleased with his letters. I was just so pleased to know they can talk to us Yeah!!!

Jessica1028, I'm glad you made it here as well. Check things out in both groups (San Antonio MA's and here) and ask anything you need to ask.

We went to my sons graduation in November. Very few parents went so the staff addressed everyone personally and encouraged pictures. If you can get there a little early, go to there barracks and follow them as they march to the ceremony hall. Our son was release on his leave after the ceremony. The airport is on the same side if San Antibio as the base but it may be worth it to rent a car.

Heather, check out the San Antonio MA Moms. Lots of great info there.

We went to see our MA2 graduate as a MWD Handler last May. We stayed at the Best Western about a mile from the front gate. Nice place, reasonable, close. Wonderful visit since he went straight back to Bahrain the day after graduation.
