Lori, thank you and my son's name is Adam.  He says that he probably won't know anything for at least a week.

Oh and, Yes, I can definitely open up a Saturday in June.  :)

Liz- the flight isn't bad at all. I didn't use to be a very good traveler. In fact scared to death of flying. But I was able to get over it [ long story!] and I have in fact flown a few times on my own and my biggest test comes in 3 weeks when I will fly to London. You will do fine! In fact you will be willing the miles to go by faster! I had to keep myself from bouncing up and down in the seat!
Knowing you will see your new sailor/son will help calm the "travel nerves."

Patricia- I got my call at the motel in GL. As soon as Paul called [ I was outside as my husband was taking a nap having just come back from London the day before] a man with a leaf blower was right next to me. I kept running around the motel trying to keep the signal and hear Paul above the noise!

Cindy- I think we can find a Saturday in June yes? What say you Betsy?

Can I ask that you ladies please pray for my son.  He had to go before the Academic Review Board today and he's really afraid that they are going to re-classify him.  He failed a test on Friday and had to retake another one a few weeks back.  He is only failing by one question, though so two of his instructors said they thought he could handle ATI, but apparently the higher up (don't know his rank) was leaning towards re-classifying him as either an AE or ATO.  He's just devastated because he said he knows that the can do the ATI job    :(

Lori, June would be perfect!  I won't be back in Maryland permanently until mid May anyway!
Comment by lori on April 9, 2011 at 10:07am

Linda- you should hear soon when all the groups go. Exciting for you and for Hismom whose son is now a sailor.

Well it looks like PF Chang's may be it! That would be wonderful to meet up there. I will be out of the country for 3 weeks in May so can we look at getting a June date possibly?
