Finksburg is near Westminster close to the Baltimore County/Carroll County line.  I love the Mongolian Beef -it is to die for. Yes I do have nails left (growing them to get a manicure before the trip)  It is the only make up that will survive the ceremony.

When are we going to the Mall??? lol

Sounds like a great plan, Lori.

HisMom, crying is absolutely ok, trust me, I know  :)

Columbia mall is great and His mom- PF Chang is my favorite restaurant! Ummm just thinking about the spicy chicken dish.... I get cravings for it!
Where is Finksburg? I have never heard of it.
So do you have any nails left???

We will definitely meet at the mall Betsy- and anyone else who wants to join us!

Betsy-I can not wait.  I am going to cry I just know it.

Columbia mall is much better than Arundel Mills.  PF CHang's is the BOMB there.

Lori, maybe we could meet at the Mall, when i get out there.  Is it Columbia Mall or Arundel Mills Mall?  I like both of them.  :)

HT=Hull Technician son knows how to do strict.  Not a problem with him.
Comment by lori on April 7, 2011 at 1:15pm

HisMom- What does HT stand for? My son [ and all the others at GL] did not like it there. First there was the weather- he was there this winter during their "epic" snow storm. Second because it is connected to the Recruit side, and he said they treat all the sailors coming over to the school side like high schoolers. It is far more strict than other bases because of the proximity to the training base. The A school for ET's [ electronic technician] is long. First he had all the holds and then INDOC [ 1 week] then hold then ATT more holds then his A classes. It was 10 months all told. He didn't mind the classes- just the base!

The "E-4" is something they have to earn. My son grad as an E-3 and is hoping

to eventually take the test to become an E-4. That doesn't usually happen until sometime in C.

Betsy- metro is close by to me. I have taken it down to DC plenty of times. But if you move to Columbia that is just down Rt 108 and there is a big mall I like in Columbia. Takes a half hour to get to.

I need to pay more attention to my spelling sorry.

oh no those poor people in Japan.  ::saying prayers for them::::

E-4 I think is the rate.  He will only be in A school for 16 weeks.  Not sure how long the C school is.   Is the comment "Nothing like A school at GL" possitive or negetive.  Did he like A school?  I am sure it is a huge amount of learning starting from no knowledge.  C school should be way easier, just learning to be more intricate.

Cindy, I just saw that on Yahoo.  :(  I'm praying for them.

HisMom, I am sending positive thought yours way.  Your next phone call will be the best one yet.  :)

Lori & Cindy, I'm happy that we won't be too far from you both.  My husband takes the Metro to work.
