Donna, that is a good question. I wondered the same thing. My son has spent 8 months in GL and he of course had to do his taxes. And pay. But not Chicago tax. When he gets to SD and is there for 6 months [?] and then to wherever he's stationed he will still have to file for MD taxes. Makes no sense to me at all as he won't be living in MD for the next 5 years. Have you tried asking this question on another site on NM? I would be interested to know the answer too.
I had heard about the freeze Obama wants to do and I think it's outrageous if it happens.

I still remember he used to LOVE the frogs legs...ugh!  He used to take me out on the floor and dance when the band played.   What a wonderful memory.  Thanks, my dad has been gone for 2 years now and I miss him dearly.

I have known olney since I was a little girl.  My dad used to take me to dinner at the Silo Inn.  It was one of my favorite places!

Linda- welcome! Have you heard from your son yet? I remember the "newness" of first starting out on this Navy journey! I was learning all the time and still am!  My son grad BC May 26th last year. He is an ET and will be going to C school in SD at the beginning of April.

You don't live too far from me. Do you know Olney?

Hi, I just found this Maryland group and it is nice to have a local connection.  My son left for boot camp on 2/22/11 and is in Ship 03 Div 142. He will graduate 4/22/11.  This is all still very new for me!

the RDC put him in charge of PT.  I am impressed.  They offered him Yeoman but he said he would rather do the PT.  He was an office manager before joining I guess he had enough paper work.

He graduates on 4/15/11 and he said his schooling is 19 weeks.
