Thanks, Joanne and Lori, I feel so much better now. No letter yet and I don't have his division yet, so I can't send mine. :( A lot of other moms, whose children left the same day have theirs. My son's recruiter said sometime's they don't get it for a week. (which would mean I have to wait until Mon) I don't believe that, so I'm planting myself in the recruiting office today and I won't leave until I have it. lol I want to start sending him letters, I don't want him to have to wait to get letters, when everyone else is getting them.

Betsy- weird? Not at all! You will savor his smell for as long as it still smells like him! Since the weather was warm when my son left and then he had to be in those same clothes for 3 days by the time I opened that box it was more the smell of sweat and dirty shoes! But I still like to smell his clean clothes cause it reminds me of him!

Lori, I opened it only because I wanted to see the clothing that I last saw him in. I closed it right back up, so I can savor his smell. Is that weird?

that was quick betsy. And you opened right away! It took me 2 weeks before I could and by then it was a little "ripe"!!!

I just got "the box". I can't believe it came that quick! It smells like my boy. :( My husband called from MD, while I was carrying the box from the front door. I was so happy that he did. I opened it while we were on the phone. Yes, I'm very emotional right now.

Lori, thanks! I'm doing pretty well, so far. My husband takes the train to DC from Columbia right now, so we are actually looking in the Ellicott City or Severn area.

Betsy- welcome! and how are you doing with just sending your son off to BC? We hope to see more of you on here.
Hopefully your house will sell soon. Will you live in DC or MD when you move here?
