Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Lori - yes, he is a depper. This is all new to me as well. It's kinda funny how it all worked out...he went to Meps just to hear what they had to say and the next thing I know he's swearing in...I couldn't have been more proud.

Welcome Bev, When you say he 'ships' do you mean he's a depper now and will be going into BC in July? I'm still trying to wrestle with all the "terms" tht come up!

Good Morning All - I too, am a new comer. My son swore in at the beginning of this month. He's not scheduled to ship until July 12, 2011, but says he's going after the first of the year. He just needs to let the recruiter know when he's ready. Look forward to chatting with ya. Bev

I haven't had the delight in meeting any of you all. I'm a relatively new comer on here- just 3 months! I would love to meet!
