Hi Joanne, my son has been in GL since April when he grad. He's an ET. I noticed you live in Fred. Not far from us.
I didn't open his box for 2 weeks. And then I think the 'ripe' smell coming from it made me finally get to it! LOL! So i missed out on 'his' smell as everything had to go in the wash pronto. Don't you miss the letters. It's not the same getting a random phone call. I loved reading what he wrote and he wasn't a letter writer.

At least she's waiting for you!

That bothered me too. I asked my son to get me names but he never did. When we went into the city after PIR we took some sailors who didn't have any family with them and they just became part of 'our' family that day.

Cindy- these are great! What a support team Paul has! Must have blown the MEPS people away. There were a lot of kids with out anyone there to see them off... and Paul had a whole crew!

My Paul went to Ft. Meade as well. The place were they get sworn in was smaller than I thought it was going to be. How neat for your guy to have all his buddies there. Glad you got your call.... now the 'kid in the box'...

Cindy- how are you doing now... back from MEPS? The house will seem a lot quieter and your grocery bills a lot less now! I also have a Paul. Where was your MEPS station?
