How is everyone doing? It's been a while since I have been on here. We had graduation May 10 and it was awesome. I took tons of pictures. Had a great time with our son. He enjoyed boot camp but glad it's over. He is now at A school in Great Lakes and having fun. He will be headed to San Diego after school. I am finally going to be taking some trips out that way. Lol.

Mickey- congrats to your son also.
Betsy- glad you had a nice trip
Joanne- congrats to your daughter on Nursing school.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

PIR was amazing, so happy to see my son and to spend Mother's Day with him.  Glad he was staying in GL for A school so we got to spend the entire weekend with him.  Seeing him in his dress whites march through those doors was incredible.  I managed to spot him the second he came through the doors which still amazes me as we were in the balcony halfway across the room.

Betsy so glad you had a great trip, it sounds amazing and you are so fortunate to be there to see him receive such honors.

Mickey, how was it?  Did you take lots of pictures!  I want to see some of them.

Joanne, I saw your pictures of your daughter's graduation.  She is very beautiful and it was an awesome picture of all of you.  Maybe if you go visit Kev, we will be in CO at the same time.  (My daughter lives there)

I'm back from my trip and it was just totally amazing and awesome!  I know that I can't share all the pictures on FB, but I will be putting up one's that I think I can share soon.  My son finished his Surface Warfare and Air Warfare pins while on this deployment.  Woohoo!  My husband and I were actually able to be there when he received his Air Warfare pin.  His Senior Chief said that to be dual qualled during one deployment is "very impressive" and it usually takes them about 2 years to complete both.  My son earned both of the pins in just 8 months.   His SC also told us that parent's never get to see them receive their pins, so we were very fortunate to be able to experience that.

Mickey that is wonderful news! I know you will have a wonderful time in GL- just seeing your son is the only thing you need! Congrats to your new sailor!

Joanne- have a great time in NC.

Hi everyone, sorry haven't been on here much these past few weeks but I just had to let you all know that my SR is a sailor and we are heading to GL tomorrow for graduation.  We both survived Boot Camp!!!!!

Betsy- I can feel your excitement! I've been talking to Kathy F and she said you put up our luncheon pic on the Stennis site!

Have a great time- and I can't wait to hear your stories!

Joanne- I am so sorry you aren't feeling better. I was going to text you today but I got busy. I'm sure Kev must be disappointed he didn't pass. He was so close too. Next time he will pass- I'm sure he's motivated to get into civvies soon. That's good news Jason will be back soon. I hope you get a call.

Leaving early tomorrow morning!  Woohoo!  You may not "see" me on here for a few weeks.  I'll have lots to tell when I get back.

Joanne, I hope you are feeling better today.  ((Hugs))  I'm sorry that your boys won't be able to get home at the same time.  That does stink.  :(

Prayers that they can do something for your cat.   ((Hugs))

Betsy - your trip just gets better and better!  You'll have to let us know when that segment airs.

Joanne - hope you feel better soon!

lori, I sure am hoping that, since I will be with him all the time too.  :)  Adam said that he has a meeting tomorrow with the Public Affairs office, so I guess the ship wants to make sure that he makes them look good too, lol.  :)
