Hi ladies- I just got a text from Joanne asking me to let you know she is on her way home to pick up Kevin and take him to the hotel. He is leaving today. She's not doing well with this so if you could pray for her she would appreciate it. Thanks!

Joanne ~ try settings->privacy->email and go look under your "email me when" preferences... if they are all checked off then it actually could be your internet browser and email provider some how catching the emails and throwing them out as junk. Try clearing your cache / history and reloading or updating your browser. I find Firefox and Safari work best.

Hope this helps.

Ok y'all....on my way to Camp LeJeune to day...tomorrow sometime we should have our youngest back from his nearly year long deployment!! OORAH!

Joanne- I have no idea. What I see at the bottom of the comment box has an envelop with "stop following" - I get notifications. Maybe you'll need to contact the admin person about this. Do you get email notifications from any other sites?

I had to go into work just for 3 hours tonight to cover someones shift [ in the ER] and from what it sounds like our area was spared from the worse of the storm. Watching the news tonight and seeing other areas towards DC - wow. We were very lucky. The roads in my neighborhood are a mess with lots of wet leaves but other than that not bad.

Linda, glad to hear all is well in your neighborhood too.  Good luck on the work commute.

Well, apparently only one neighbor lost some branches on two trees, but other than, no other apparent damage here.

Glad to hear that everyone fared well with this storm. We also kept power and just have some debris in the yard. When I see the devastation in NY, I know we have been blessed.  I got a few 'free'days as the University of MD was closed yesterday and today.  Back to work tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how many light will be out and if there are any detours.

Great to hear everyone still has power.  We survived ok and all the trees that surround our house, thankfully are still on the outside of the house, where they belong, lol.  Boy, that wind sure did sound like a train, didn't it?

Joanne, you should post a picture of the new dress.  I know inquiry minds would love to see it.  :)  I hope Kevin's departure isn't delayed too much, since I know that he is anxious.  ((hugs)) to mom, though.

Anna, we heard sirens too, but no clue what there were for, either.

Lori, sorry about the messy yard  :( , but glad to hear everything is ok.

We kept power all night long too. I brought my mother here on Saturday after I left you all and she is still here with me.   Their house has always lost power for a few days up to a week with most storms, but this time their power stayed on.  My dad stayed with their house in Parkville (because I couldn't convince him to come), so he is ok too.  Many of our neighbors have posted on our HOA FB page that they have trees down.  I guess my husband and I will take a walk later to see how bad the neighborhood looks.  We are enjoying the fire and relaxing today.

We never lost power-- so thankful!
Our area of Westminster seemed to fare ok... We heard sirens and see work trucks but I think we were spared something much worse. We keep seeing photos of lots of snow just to our west. Hubby is going in to work at noon... Working from home this morn.

Well it seems we made it through without our power going out! VERY thankful for that! Russ said his work is closed again today. I don't know what it looks like outside my little street but our yard is a mess.

All who have power check in so we know how everyone is ok?

Betsy I had a great time too! Joanne just texted me that Kevin's departure has been delayed 4 days. That's hard I'm sure- the anticipation and then having to wait. The wind is kicking up around us now. Tomorrow should be interesting!

Anna- safe travels to you!

Stay safe everyone.
