Stay safe my Maryland friends! I will be praying that everyone gets through this storm safely.
I had a great time at lunch on Saturday. I am blessed to have you all as friends.
Joanne, I am thinking about you and Kev today and tomorrow. I wonder if his scheduled departure will change now because of this storm? I hope that maybe you can have him for a couple of more days. ((hugs))
Anna, I am also praying that everything passes before you head to NC. Prayers for a safe trip for you. I will be praying that it also doesn't affect your son's arrival.
This is so clever Joanne! How did you do this?
Linda, ahhh, ok. I automatically think Maine when I hear Bangor too.
It is really Bangor, Washington. Not sure what my fingers were thinking...The USS Miami was in dry dock in Maine when a subcontractor set the fire.
Linda, thank you. I think I'm a little confused. Do they have subs in Maine? Is it Bangor, Washington?
Great picture Betsy!
My son will be in Bangor Maine on the USS Louisana.
Linda, okie dokie! I will let you know what time, when I hear what Anna's plans are going to be. I'm so excited to see you all on Saturday.
That is so great that he got his first choice. My son absolutely loves Washington. Do you know if he will be at Bremerton or Everett?
Guess what my son just posted on his FB? Yep, a picture. I am so happy that I probably won't be able to go to sleep for awhile. He looks so great. He is the one on the left. I actually know his friend too, because I met him when I was in Washington last March. They were working radar.
Lots of activity here - I think I got caught up!
My husband tried to throw away "the box" but luckily I caught him before it was gone. And I still have it.
I'm looking forward to lunch on Saturday. Betsy - your plan sounds good for Saturday. I will keep your son in my prayers.
Joanne - Sending prayers to you as Monday draws near.
I haven't heard about my son's test yet - I am going to call him this week because I think he has day shift. He did get his orders. He didn't look at the date but it should be early Jan 2013. He got his first choice - Washington and he will be on a sub. He is estatic and I am happry for him. I wish it was a bit closer though.
Thank you ladies.
Joanne, I still have the box too. Isn't it weird how some things are just so important to keep?
Anna, ok sounds good.
