Jeano, I am so saddened to hear of yet the loss of another Sailor. I will definitely keep the Darcy family, friends and  your son in my prayers. Truly heart breaking.

This Friday, April 11 is the funeral for MAA Mark Mayo, the Sailor killed in Norfolk. I plan to attend as a show of support for this grieving fellow Maryland and Navy family. Is anyone else interested in attending?

Jeano, were others hurt in this accident? So tragic. How is your son doing today?

Jeano- this is so sad. I prayed for the family and friends of this young man. Was the accident on the ship? My heart goes out to all.

Thank you all for your well wishes. I have been so busy trying to catch up on things since the Mar 14 PIR. I will share pics soon.

As most of you may have heard by now, one of our Navy son's lost his life this past Monday at Norfolk's Naval Station. My heart has been heavy and stomach in knots ever since hearing this tragic news. Not only was he a Sailor, but he was from MD. He lived with his mom and siblings in Hagerstown.

WE are Navy moms. WE are Maryland Moms. This family needs and deserves all the support they can get right now. Any thoughts or ideas as to how we can assist this Navy family? Has anyone ever experienced this before? What about attending his services as a group?

Batmom, so are counting hours now or still days?! I remember the excitement of being on the plane on our way to see our boy. His group were actually doing battleship when we were in the air so it was several tense hours before I heard his voice after we landed. Oh- I think I bounced in my seat for most of the time in the air! I was too excited to sit still! Can't wait to hear all about your time at PIR. Have fun and remember- bring tissues!
