Happy Holidays to all you Navy moms. Love to all on here. Thanks to all you ladies who are such a wonderful support.

For those who have their sailors home for Christmas...enjoy them! And to all those who can't be with their sailors at this time of the year- i pray that next year they will be home.

Joanne, I've been thinking about you and kept meaning to email you. How are you? No call? Well phewy on him. Mom's need at least a short sentence. Maybe soon you will hear from him. Maybe he was very busy and couldn't get the time to contact you?

Can Kevin say "no" at this point?

Cindy that's a great pic! Heather is such a beautiful girl! So what do you think of the fleece sleeping bag I found online at Dick's? Do you think that will work?

BTW- that sea bag looks HEAVY!

birknma- that is awesome news! Congrats to your son. Where is he stationed? How have you been?

Cindy or Patricia - I just looked at sleeping bags on Dick's web site. Is there one I should look at specifically? I saw a fleece bag for $19.99. The reviews said it folded up small. But there were other bags for 40 degrees? What kind do you think would be good? Is it more important that it folds up small or that it's really warm?

Patricia- no problem! My brain is so tired I'm lucky if I can remember my name!

Thanks for the pillow case idea. Does it work well? Can it be washed normally? I can just imagine telling my son it requires a separate cold wash!

deneen- good for you! Better late than never right?

Patricia, I meant to say thanks for the suggestion about photos. Since everything is on my digital camera which then goes onto my computer I forget about printing out real copies. I will do that while Paul is home so he can take that with him. He loves his nieces and nephews and I know will want pics of them.

BTW- it was me that is going to school [ though Cindy are you as well?] as I finally figured out what I want to be when i grow up! I work in an ER and have always wanted to be a nurse. So that is my goal. Mother of 4- grandmother of 8, old lady that I am! It is fun being a good student cause I was a screw-up through out high school. Making up for lost time I guess!

Hope your daughter doesn't get stuck in any bad weather in Buffalo. That's great you'll have them at Christmas. Norfolk isn't too far away.

Betsy, we got an amazingly good deal considering it was last minute. Just under $400 from SD to here RT. He has 1 stop but that's not bad. Our daughters flight from NC was more than that! So happy for you that Adam will be home as well. What airport does he arrive in? Paul comes in at BWI.

Cindy I have the list you gave me on my fridge. I think the sleeping bag is a great idea. Thanks

Cindy, Wow, thanks for all that great info or Lori. I will be keeping that mental list too. My son hasn't received his Orders yet, but we are hoping soon.
Lori, were you able to get a good deal on his flight? I'm so excited for you! My Adam gets home Sat. night too. But he comes in at 9.
Kids, that is one wonderful family you have.

Cindy, his flight is booked. He comes home Saturday at midnight unless he can get a stand by flight earlier. He has to be back the middle of Jan. Guess he'll be spending a lot of his time at the station. Right now i don't mind, just having him home will be good. Will Paul be doing that too when he comes home?

My Paul asked what your Paul's job was and I said I didn't know. I'll get to tell him now. When will Heather be home?
