Lori, he has already dumped the out.  lol  He is saving the jugs, though.  My parents lost power and have 6 inches of water in their basement (sump pump failed).  My sister has a tree in her pool, that wasn't even in her yard before.  They live in Baltimore County.  My brother lost power and he lives in Brooklyn Park.

Lori, glad that you are ok too.  Yes, it does seem as though some people got hit hard with lots of tree damage and flooding.  :(

All's good where I am. Didn't lose power though it blinked on and off several times. It was one noisy windy storm during the night. Watching the news though, not so good for many.

All's good in Columbia, what about everyone else?

Lori, lol yes it would be interesting to brush my teeth with his beer.  :)  Prayers that you are safe tonight and tomorrow.  Will check back in tomorrow.  Good Night!

So those beer jugs came in handy! Guess water is better for washing with than beer! All that's on the news is silly weather men out getting wet "keeping an eye on the storm!" Some time tonight the winds should really pick up. We have a lot of tall trees out back. We should be fine though.

Haha, well he didn't buy it, but he had a bunch of gallon jugs (from his beer making) and filled them all.  I bet we have 50 gallons!  No well water and we are in an apartment, which makes it even more funny.  He was an Eagle scout and is always prepared, lol.   We are getting some good gusts of wind and rain right now.  We have a lot of tall trees around our building, so hopefully they will stay where they belong.  I'm keeping a close watch on those.  I'm not even sure when the worst is supposed to be here, but I heard it's later tonight.

Betsy, Dianne said your husband bought a lot of water. Do you have well water? I didn't even bother going to the grocery store figuring I'd do my usual Sunday shop. It's raining and a little wind here too. My husband checked on the hurricane center web site and it's now in Kill Devil Hills. It will be interesting to see how much of it we actually get. Remember "Izzy Fizzy?"

Lori, yes we are.  I'm heading directly to Pensacola and meeting my husband there, after my trip to see my daughter and other sailor at Pearl Harbor.    Woohoo!  No orders yet, but he said he will know in a couple of weeks.  He has just filled out the dream sheet, but as we know the Navy will send him whereever they decide.  He has his choices as SD, Hawaii and Everette, WA in that order. I'm hoping that he does stay stateside.

How you doing with the storm so far?  Just rain and a little wind here and there for us so far.  My husband has over-prepared as usual.
