Murraysmom- Joanne is doing a great job! If we give her a final head count by Thursday that should work right Joanne?
That would be wonderful if the other ladies can join us. Joanne comes from the Frederick area so maybe she can help with directions if your friend needs them? Not sure where Crofton is. How far away is Sterling for your friend? As you can tell I don't travel much outside my little area!
LOL! Lori, I hope the other N4M's can join us. Two are from MD (Crofton and Frederick) and the other mom is from Sterling, VA. Please let me know if you and Joanne need help with anything.
Should we talk louder from the other end of the table so you can hear us Joanne? Don't forget girl you are younger than me!!!
Murraysmom- where have these other MD ladies been hiding? I knew there were more out there than just us!
Lori and Joanne...you two crack me up! LOL! Thank you for organizing. I really look forward to meeting everyone. Either time works for me.
Joanne - Yes. I am on FB. I'll look to join the group's Page. Also, I have become friends with approx. 3- 4 other N4M from MD. Do you mind if I mention the lunch to them, as well?
Good idea about the labels Joanne. There will be a lot of new faces I think. And for those of us [ME] with 'old' brains it would be very helpful!
Joanne- thanks for being wiling to 'organize' us and make the reservations!
Colleen- wonderful news about your son! Norfolk is a whole lot different than Japan I'd say! But being closer to you is wonderful. Glad you checked in with us and will be able to make it for lunch!
Mickey- is your son going to be in NY during the Super Bowl? That's funny you are worried about him out to sea and he's on dry land having a steak dinner! How did he manage to get leave when the ship is out? My understanding was that none of the sailors get leave when the ship is doing sea trials.Looking forward to seeing you as well!
HisMom- hope you can make it!
Joanne- I'll go with either time. Planning on being at the mall soon as it opens. It's been ages since I've had free time to wander around a mall!
Where are you all meeting for lunch and when. I would love to try to make it.
Would love to make it for lunch, hope we don't get snow next week. I am tired of the cold weather.
My son is still in Norfolk, although his ship is out on a trial run right now for 2 weeks. According to FB he is hanging out in New York having a great time!!!! I was sitting here worrying he was sea sick and freezing until I saw the post of the great steak dinner he had last night!!!! With him being close to home I have seen a lot more of him than I ever imagined I would but I know that won't last so I am grateful to see him often.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. I hope to see you all soon.
Take Care
