Awwww.....Lori and Betsy. You guys are so sweet! I was "lurking" here and saw your kind words. Thank you!
Ok, kwtracey. Please jump on your PIR page....lots of what you are asking here is answered there, or will be. These Maryland ladies are the best too....but we can add to their info with current/specific info for your group. You are welcome to PM me if you have more specific questions. We want this to be a great experience for you...with little worry or anxiety!
So please come to the PIR page, read and post! That is a great way to get to know the other ladies on there as well. See you over there! -Dianne
Lori, that's funny, because one of the things that my son told to bring him was his boxers. lol
Joanne, we went to the mall too :)
kwtracey, you might want to bring your daughter some pretty undies, since I'm sure she will feel the same way about her tidy whities too. lol
kwtracey, the Meet & Greet is at the Ramada Inn, 200 N. Green Bay Road, Waukegan, IL on Thursday night from 6p.m. to 8p.m. You could probably still make it there for a while. I agree with the other ladies, you should really try,it's a lot of fun.
HisMom, I agree with Lori, welcome back.
Joanne, ((hugs)) about the box.
HisMom- good to "hear" from you! You've been MIA for awhile. Is everything alright? My husband did the same thing- programmed where we were staying and the base and some places we wanted to see in the GPS. We never got lost. Can't imagine how we would have done it without!
Where is your son now? How long ago was he at SD?
I had my gps when I went to his PIR from boot camp. I programmed all the places I wanted to see before I got on the plane. It was a breeze when I got there.
My son wasn't living with us when he joined so all his stuff was at his room mates house. He just came home from A school before going to San Diego and brought a bunch of his stuff with him from his old house. He made sure he set it up. I think he was making sure we had some of his stuff out so we would think of him while he is gone. Like we needed any help!!! Kids are so darned
funny.
we've received the box and the form letter. I am hoping for a "real" letter this week. I wish we could stay at the Navy Lodge, but the page says you must have an eligible Navy person with you at check in.
