well I figured there would be some times when the sailor would not be calling or writing me so I joined Molly's adopt a sailor group.  I will write to some who get no letters and put a smile on their face.  Maybe they will write or call.  Fill the nest with leters

What a great kid! I know what it's like to have a quiet home now Cindy. It takes some getting used to that's for sure.

His- that's great that he calls you so often. And be a baby! You are a very caring mom and love your children to pieces. My oldest is 34 and my youngest [Paul] is 23. Two girls in the middle. It's great you have such a good relationship with them your kids. I only see my middle daughter now and their 2 kids which I adore. She lives close so I see them often. It's hard when they all leave the nest- harder still when they don't even live in the same state.

Sure for him it will......I have three "children"  my oldest baby is almost 30  I still worry and miss her when I don't speak to her often.  God gave me little balls of fire for grandchildren so I don't bug her so much.  She has to concentrate on them. lol

My middle child calls almost everyday just to say she loves me and see what is up.

My sailor had sort of fallen off the face of the earth the year before he joined the Navy.  We were just getting back to communicating when he went to boot camp.  Now he calls every couple of days.  That is a very good thing the navy has done for me.

Gosh I still cry when I talk to my son on the phone.  I am such a baby!  He is having some fun now with the guys in his A school.  He has his communication back and couldn't be happier.  Nice to hear joy in his voice again.

Cindy- I posted this just after yours came up. Happy for you that you got a call. I didn't : ( but I knew he was going to be busy this weekend just can't remember what. Easter last year was when Paul left [ the day after] so there were lots of memories and an empty chair : (   he had hid all the eggs for the kids last year. I was recalling the mad rush getting him out the door for MEPS.

Betsy- oh I know those good byes. Do they get any easier- nope! So glad you had a wonderful [though short] visit with Adam. I'm sure he was sad too when he had to leave you.

Casey's mom- I remember those loooooong days of no communication. When you finally get that 1st letter! I just know you will be jumping up and down like a mad woman! And you will read that letter so many times that you'll rub it thin! Are you writing him everyday? As soon as you get his address [ another week or so] you can send your letters. Be sure to number them as you won't know what gets there first.

Betsy, I am so jealous that you got to see you're son. I can only imagine how short it must have felt. I can't wait to see my son and he's only been gone 4 days. I swear, it truly feels as if he's been gone 4 weeks.

I will be try to back on here tomorrow night to catch up.  My wonderful 3 day visit with Adam is now over.  :(  Why do the goodbyes seem to get so much harder?  :(  *tear.  The drive back to the base was only 10 minutes long, but it seemed like the longest drive of my life.  I miss him so much already.  :(   I will start driving back to NM tomorrow.

Happy Easter everyone! My son's A school will be 6 months long.  He will also have 2 more schools that will each be 6 months long.  He also enlisted for 6 years.
