yes..hes young..will always be my baby-I can see they'd prob. Give him a hard time if they knew it was his 18th bday..he did 2 years at a military school in VA so he's going in as an E3..so def a good start for an 18 year old! I can tell by just his phone all last week he's grown up so much already!

I hadn't posted on here regularly either... stayed on my PIR group mostly. It's exciting to see there are other moms not that far from where I live.
Cindy- how exciting you will make it! I did but it was a VERY long 8 weeks! Start writing those letters... that's what kept me sane!
Crystal- He's so young... that's got to be hard for you. But not a bad place to be in when he turns 18.. you know what I mean? No "18" nonsense that can happen! Don't expect a call- at least not just cause it's his birthday- he won't want anyone to know. They can make it very hard for them [ RDC's] if they know.

Aww, Cindy...I know you are so proud...good luck to him, and we are all here for you! There are some wonderful mamas on here! My son left Ft Meade July 6th...he will be 18 in 2 weeks...(I'm hoping maybe he can call on his bday?) Thatll be the hardest day for me, but his PIR is 9/2...counting the days! Hugs to you!

Debbie- hopefully by the time you read these Mark will be home. Tell us how he eventually got to you. He must be just as anxious as you are by now...

Debbie, so tragic. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. This heat is brutal and even healthy young people can be affected. Thank you for taking the time to caution us all.
