Himy dear MA moms .
I just got this last night . Was so excited to know that the pillow cases got there to our September adoption USS Preble.
I am also having a great week ,well two now with our sailor who is stationed in Italy .
He surprised his brother in San Diego big time last week . The video is priceless . He has gotten to hang out with him and be part of the SWCC community there .Now seeing how we are enjoying South Carolina ,and gets to see his twin sister as we are all doing Susan G Komen walk in Charleston tomorrow .
Life is very good for this Navy Momma. But I do miss you all .
Donna , you know I would have done anything to be there . Congrats on Matthew too.
Have fun . Pack lots of MA love xxxxxx

Hello there,

My name is Elora Sosa.. or STG2 Sosa if you’d prefer. I am a sonar technician on USS Preble (DDG 88). I am 23 years old, I’ve been in the navy for just about 4 years now and this is my second deployment. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the lovely pillow case and the card. It feels absolutely amazing knowing that people out there appreciate us and support us while we’re away on deployments. You said that you have 2 sons who are both in the navy, how long have they been in? I have a younger brother (22yrs old) who is also in the navy, he’s stationed out of Mississippi as a Seabee and he is also on deployment. Feel free to message me whenever you’d like. Thank you again for the pillowcases, all the women here love them!

Very Respectfully
Sosa :]

Hi Donna, that is wonderful news about your son.  Congratulations to him -- what an exceptional honor.  Please say hi to the gang for me on Saturday.  Would love to join you guys for a holiday packing party!  Looking forward to pictures of those 300 pies in a jar!  Even my son was impressed when I told him what you guys are doing!  Take care.

We are going to have to take lots of pics to share both here and on the MAS page.  Our small group is really going to rock that ship!!!  Just for an example, Chelita has finished baking 300, yes I said 300, pies in a jar.  So with our Thanksgiving goodies to eat, holiday cards for them to write and send home, hopefully, a few nerf footballs, & whatever else, oh yes, and decorations they are going to have lots of fun with the MA Moms' boxes!!

Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. I also wish I could come on Saturday but since I w ll be at PIR next weekend, I am using Saturday as a catch up day for everything I need to do but never get around to doing it. I hope you guys have a lot of fun! I would love to see what the cakes in jars look like!

Now about the packing party.  Yes it is still on for this Saturday.  We'll plan to start around 12:30p and just go until we finish.

I went to Hallmark today and got some Christmas cards for our sailors.  I got 160 cards for $30.  It is their buy one, get one free stock up time.  I found boxes of 40 cards each for $14.99.  So really good deal.

Still got some baking to do, plan on doing that tomorrow.

I have to warn you all that I am in the process of going through boxes, separating things I want to keep, donate, or just throw out.  I'm determined to get my "downsizing" done before moving - I don't want to move things I'm going to end up getting rid of.

Nick's mom is going to pick up some more boxes.  If someone wants to pick up mailing labels and custom forms that would be great.

Dee, are you coming?  Did you have any packing tape left-over or do we need to get some?

I can't tell you how excited I am about this packing party. It is going to be so wonderful to be with you all again. I'm feeling a little melancholy that this could be my last packing party with all of you.  Well, unless we do something for the holiday adoption ... ?!  lol
