Good Monday Everyone!
Only 2 weeks until we meet at Johanna's! Can you believe it? I can hardly wait, it is going to be soo much fun to be together again.
Instead of the saying "Are you ready for some football", we'll have to change it to "Are you ready for some Navy Momma fun?!"
Thanks everyone, just reading your posts are a comfort. We were able to spend the entire day with him, he had to check in at 2 pm and then be back at the hotel at 6:30. He still does not know his flights, but I was happy to hear that he would be traveling with 2 others. He will be calling his girlfriend with ( I am here) then she will call me.
Sooo looking forward to meeting you all in just a few weeks. Don't forget your picture of your sailor! That way we get to meet each others' children as well.
@ Nauset Mom and Navymomx2 -- just remember we are all here for you. Just let us know you need support, an ear to listen, whatever and you will have it as soon as you ask. That is what is so great about N4M, you get to know other moms in your state or moms with children doing what your child is doing! I think MA Moms are great at providing support. Actually support for anything you are going through!! I know they've all supported me through 3 very difficult years & through 2 deployments. Have you heard the saying, "We got your 6."? Well, these mommas really do!
My baby girl leaves one week from today for Boston and leaves the next day (20th) for Great Lakes. I am DYING inside. Not letting her see, though. When it all comes down to it, I've got the easy part...it's her who has to go through everything and be separated from everyone. Anywho, looking forward to meeting everyone on the 31st. I will be coming up from the Cape.
@ NausetMom: I find it hard to believe that we have just past our 1 year mark. You will be amazed at the difference in your Sailor when you get to PIR. It makes the loneliness worth it. I have to admit how difficult it was for me when our Sailor left for BC, but I am so very proud and pleased with the man he has become.
Hang on , it's a ride but it's a good one.
Thanks Mass Moms for the support and I can't wait to meet you all in a few short weeks.
