@ Dee, yes let's get together. I will try to call you later on today.
Welcome new MA Moms! We are so glad to have you join us!! I can tell you from personal experience that the Moms in this group are amazing, wonderful women. They've gotten me thru a lot lately - I don't know I could have survived without their support and prayers. If you find yourself in need of something/anything all you have to do is leave a post whether it is navy info, sailor info, or personal these sisters are here to help. (Me too.)
Donna! So glad to see you back!! If you want any help or want to chat about any "FUN" raising please give me call or reach out to me. I'm glad to help out. We have lots planned this summer for our non-profit, but anything I can do for you, you know I'm here. We're all in this together!
Hi Denise(Dee) thanks for the welcome.
Thanks Navymomx2, for the info. I am just further down Cape in Eastham. How exciting to have 2 in the Navy. I would love to hear about your sons graduation on 7/3. I watched part of yesterdays - it brought tears to my eyes. Couldn't watch anymore as I want to experience it when he graduates.
Hi I am a new to N4M's, my son will leave for bootcamp in August. I was thrilled to see a MA group for Navy Moms. Any advice for a future Navy Mom?
Hi Dee! How was the run/walk?? I'm sure you survived. I like Besties4dogs Diva Run idea too. Sounds like fun and exciting.
Also got me to thinking! I know: "Uh-oh".
But maybe we should be thinking N4M fun and fund-raiser?! MAS pays a fee to MA every year so that we are registered with the state to do any fund-raising we want. Even having a table at some local summer-time fair, requires that we pay a "registration fee" with the state. Figures, doesn't it? We are non-profit, but we have to pay a fee to try and raise $$s. Well, at least it isn't only MA and for once MA isn't the most expensive one to pay.
Time for us to have some fun ...! I know I could use something to plan ahead for. Even help with organizing. Time to re-join life. Maurice wouldn't want me to keep living in the past and in sadness, so I will try.
Hi Dee,
Good luck tomorrow. My daughter's best friend is also in the JP Morgan race. She posted a picture of her bib on Facebook after she picked it up. My daughter is also training for a race in Manchester, NH the end of the month. Apparently, it is a Diva run and the girls are greeted by handsome hunks in tuxedos carrying roses at the end, very fun. Hopefully, the weather will be nice tomorrow, as expected. My son started his every other week PT yesterday, in preparation for boot camp. His current date is Feb. 12th but they are trying to get him in sooner. We are hoping for a new date next week.
Anyway, good luck in the race!!
