Dear Friends,
I had to write this message and let you know that I will be MIA for a while. I'm so sorry, but I can't organize the meet and greet that we've been chatting about for June 1st. I am very disappointed, but it is just impossible for me to do. You see my dear, beloved husband died this morning. He was ill with pneumonia, but his death was completely sudden and unexpected.
I just wanted you all to know what happened to me. I will be back, but I need some time.
Hugs to each of you,
Donna
@ Dee & Sheryl - wow, we're going to have a southern extension of MA Navy Moms!! Andrew is going to Charleston, SC for 3 interviews (I forget the dates) & I'm trying to convince my hubby to retire (no luck so far). But wouldn't that be fun to all move south!? We'll have to put Sheryl on the house hunting trail! But I have to wait a bit so as not to move too close to Andrew. He deserves to have his own space and life.
Dee, "baby talk"? That is sooo exciting!!
OK, how about either June 1st or 22nd? I'd like to see us get together before July. After talking to Carol (as in Carol's Kitchen), let's plan to include our hubbies or significant others, or bring along a girlfriend if you'd like so you don't have to drive alone.
Any preferences on time? I'm thinking a late lunch like around 2p. Would that work?
I'll make some phone calls and see if I can find us a place where we can have our own private space & if they will let us order from the menu what we want and give us separate checks or if they will limit us. That will likely depend upon how many of us are going to make it.
I'm so excited!! Can't wait to get together again ...
Hi Donna, would love to join you all. My schedule seems to change hourly, so please post the time and place you decide on and I'll try to come. Thanks for organizing us!
Morning, ladies. I would love to meet you all. Either Foxboro or Wrentham works fine for me; only about an hour or so drive from the Cape. Due to prior commitments, I am only available 5/25,6/1,6/22,7/13,7,20,7/27,8/24,8/31. My son left 5/7 for boot camp. My daughter will leave 8/20. Then my nest will be empty...:o(
OK, MA moms - we have 2 out of staters wishing they could meet, but what about the rest of you??
Donna--would love to come! My hubby has come to many of the Moms lunches, and others wish they had included theirs, too. If anyone has a distance to drive, it makes it easier.
btw, no I am not in MA, but would love to me. My faaather was from there, and we visited all the time in my younger years. Someday you may get me back for a visit!
Happy Mother's Day to all.
