Congratulations Pauline!  That pic to the left is my 1st g'child too. Our precious little Samantha Jo.  She just lights up our world!

Yes, Sheryl, I'm on the countdown now.  Can hardly stand waiting anymore! Just waiting for the call that the plane has arrived to bring them home and then of course the call from Bangor, ME that they'll be home in 3 hours!!  It won't be long now.  (insert 'Happy Dance')

Hi Everybody ... I'm back!!!

Still can't sit with my knee bent for any long periods of time, but I was determined to get on the computer after PT today -- and I did.

Thank you Sheryl for keeping everyone up to date and not telling anything dumb that I might have done or said!  I'm fairly certain there must have been a few things along the way.

Thank you all for your good wishes, calls and cards.  It was just so wonderful to receive them.  I can't begin to tell you what they meant to me.

PT is going well.  It is very hard and of course painful, but I'm making progress.  Slow but steady.  I get discouraged to not be doing more but the therapists kept pointing out today that it has been only 4 weeks and I'm walking without even a cane most of the time.  Guess that is good!  That was my goal -- to meet my sailor at his homecoming on my own 2 feet.  Looks like that will happen, altho I MAY have to take a cane just in case the ground is not level.  But I can handle that much.

Sheryl it would be sooooo wonderful if we could all get together when you are back in Groton.  I may have to get a ride from someone because I can't drive far yet, but count me in!!!!

I'm so behind in what is happening for our adoptions, but I'm sure something will come up in time for us.  In the meantime, we are still collecting boxers and undershirts for our CSH Dwyer patients.  Sizes for boxers are S, MED, L, & X-Lg.  Undershirts are L and X-Lg.  Just in case you see any great deals in that area!

Talk to you all again soon.  I'm so glad to be back with you!

Hello all and thanks for the welcomes! Glad to hear Donna did well in her surgery and sorry to hear of your loss Helen.

My SR's PIR is set for 5/25/12 - he is in the brother/sister div to Jenn's SR daughter - YAY! We are all making plans for our trip out to GL now. So excited! My SR is supposed to go to Groton, CT for A-school. Hoping that remains true as it's very close to us here in MA.
Thanks for the help and please let me know if there is any upcoming events I can attend to get to meet some of you wonderful ladies in person! Ann-Marie

I have just spoken with Donna ,she sounds good . She sounds high actually but that's the heavy duty drugs she is on :) on a scale of 1-10 she is about a 9 , bless her . She and her roommate both had same surgery done and very restless night by both ladies ,They had Donna up and about walking already and she is looking at Friday as her release date to some kind of rehab facility .
I am checking in again tmrw with her . She is already spreading the MAS and special hugs word as she interacts with the staff. What a trouper ...
Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday .iwalked this morning and kept on walking did 15 miles in all I told Donna it was a lap of honor for her :)
Congratulations to Johanna and her family her sailor gets his Dolphins Saturday at the ball . Way to go stefan ....
