That's so cute! Merry Christmas to all your familys. We are very excited that Jake will be home from Nuke school on Dec. 27, and will be home for a week. So we are doing another Christmas for him. He hasn't been home to this house in MA since he left for basic in March. He does't know it, but all of his best friends who are home from various colleges will be at the airport with us to welcome him home. God bless all your familys, and especially your service men and women.

Good Morning! ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT TIL CHRISTMAS...
Changed my pic to one my DIL took. Samantha was doing some seriously babbling to Santa. She title it, "Santa, I want my Daddy home!" Turned this Nana into a puddle with a melted heart and tears.
Hi Ladies,
Wishing you and all your families a safe and happy holiday season ........
please could one of the moms from the UMASS Lowell packing party contact me. You have a daughter in Japan ,as i would like to see if you could contact another Corpsman mom friend of mine . Her daughter will be going for 3 yrs after their graduation in New Year . She just needs reassurance i think :)Thanks so much .
I would like you all to start thinking about 3 different things:
1) A fun. meet and greet get together, maybe late Jan. with a snow date the next week in Feb.? Do we want to go out to eat or do pot-luck at someone's home? Let's try to think central location to make it easy for all.
2) It is looking like there will be a very large adoption probably in Feb. Do we want to start working on it now even tho we don't know who? We can always use the 'Sailors' Wish List' to start collecting. It will be for arrival in March.
We could also do our own thing again and come up with a St. Patrick's Day or First Day of Spring theme?
3) I'm also looking for Moms who are willing to help plan, gather items, prepare craft type projects for kids (quick & easy), do baking, work a packing party, and a wide variety of other jobs for Fleet Week in Boston over July 4th. My RI friend & I are even hoping to have a dinner for Navy Moms and Dads to meet with an Admiral about what's happening in the Navy, and are looking into getting a cheap place for us to stay in Boston so we can perhaps go to the concert & fireworks as a group on the 4th. There will be lots of different things to do. If you are interested in being in on the planning, we are going to start after 1/1. We are going to need people who are willing to be in charge of the different areas as well! Let me know so we can hit the ground running with this. You can leave a message, PM or email me. Or give me a call. I think you all have my phone number by now! :)
Make that "Now I need to find..." The 'w' key stuck.
I was looking for some fun socks to send to my own son and my new adopted sailor, Daniel. Look what I found:
Superman socks with capes. No I need to find someone or 2 or 3 to help me finance the purchase of 2 pairs. They go for the bargain price of $41 dollars per pair + postage!! Oh, better make that 3 pairs so my younger son isn't left out!
Any takers? Going once, going twice ...
A real bargain at a total cost of $123 + S & H which has to be around $12 each...
ROF LMOL!!!
Will try to add more later! But this is at least a start at reliving the fun of yesterday. Thank you again to everyone!!!
Merry Christmas!
Hugs to everyone,
Donna
