Well, one blizzard survived - hopefully no more blizzards. I'd like to say no more snowstorms, but then you'd think I had lost my mind completely.
BUT the sun is out today so it'll melt and compact somemore. And, as far as I'm concerned that makes the world so much better.
How were everyone's holidays? Did you see your sailors or get to talk with them?
I saw mine & it was wonderful. Then it came time to leave and one of his gifts to me came immediately to mind & with it the memory of 2008 - he gave me stationary. So I took him in my arms and asked the question we all want to avoid and got the answer that none of us wants to hear. Yes, he is going to be deployed at the end of the year. He isn't certain where exactly. There are so many hot spots now, it is almost a roll of the dice! I'm praying for a change in plans because his contract is nearly up but whatever God wills. Besides we all know how reliable these things are!
Take good care of yourselves Moms. Be safe over New Year's. Happy New Year and welcome 2011. May it be a better year for everyone and may our troops come home safely. God bless them all.
Has everyone survived the storm? It stopped here in Plainville for a little while, but it is snowing again. Hopefully this is just a final dusting!! We have over 22". We can now jump ahead to May...
How much snow did you get ... ??
Just wanted to wish all the MA Navy Moms a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. I hope many will get to spend time with their sailor and if not, that you will get a special phone call home. We leave for NY to see our sailor, but are planning an early return because of the snowstorm. However, we will keep an eye open and if the storm changes course we will stay at least thru Sunday. Take care - all of you. Your and your sailor and families are in my thoughts and prayers. MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year, too.
Hi. I am new to NFM and am still learning my way around these pages and discussions. I am not a Navy mom yet, my son is working his way through this decision to join. As of today (and today is all we have) he will be signing up for a September go date. Nine months and alot could happen between now and then but this is where we are right now.
