Hi Cheryl Lynn,
My name is Cathie and I also live in Grand Rapids. My son graduated from Northview and is currently stationed at NAS Corpus Christi, but soon will be going to Norfolk. My daughter graduated last year and will be a Sophomore at CMU.

Sheila,
Troy was at Sigonella for awhile. He was with HC-4 before it was disestablished.
Maybe we could plan a get together on this side of the state. My daughter is just finishing up her freshman year at college, she is a pre-med student. No grandkids yet, at least, not that I know of. I work full time in an IT department, have a dog and a cat, make quilts, attempt to garden and spend too much time on the computer, LOL.

Dawn, we took the train. It went right into chicago then we took the metro right up to GL. Better then driving into Chicago. Once there we did rent a car for around the base.

Bev,
My daughter graduated from Northview. She was a diver from 2004-2007.

Hi Kathy B... is Rachel training to fly MH-53Es? They are so very big and noisy, but Troy loves them.

Dawn... when I went to Troy's PIR we took I-94. I wasn't driving, but I remember that traffic through Chicago was very busy. There are driving directions on the RTC site also.

Brenda... we have been to the Forest Hills Aquatic Center many times. My daughter was a diver on the swim team and we would go there to compete and practice on open swim days. She loved that pool, it was one of her favorites.

Hi Ruth.
Sounds like Christopher is doing well, you must be very proud of him.
NAS is Naval Air Station and DEP is Delayed Entry Program.
Funny how it all works out, isn't it? Troy was never one to study in high school either. Now when he comes home on leave, he brings home manuals to study. Troy is an AW and flies as aircrew on MH-53E helicopters.

Hi Sheila... Troy went to Northview High School. Waiting wasn't Troy's favorite part, but he always managed to find things to do that helped him achieve his goals. The time does pass quickly, I can't believe it's been 5 yrs already!
