OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Ah Submom - I know what you mean - I grew up in Orange County, CA and spent summers hanging out at Newport Beach.  I sooooo remember the razor burn.....(but wanted to make sure the legs looked good before heading to the beach lol!).

along with no salt and no sharks - there's also no razor burn! growing up in Pensacola I always regretted shaving my legs right before heading to the beach. Lake water is so much more forgiving ;)

WaterLily - I am biased but yes there is so much to do there. I will answer any questions you have.

SubMom, we can’t wait to visit the Pensacola area!  I did a little research already and it seems like there is so much to do and see there.  The Naval Aviation museum sounds right up our alley!  We are missing our boy but it helps to think of him chasing his dreams and of our opportunities to visit him here and there.  I’ll use you as a Pensacola resource when needed!

WaterLily - Pensacola is my home town! My family lives about 20 minutes away. If you've never been you definitely need to check out the Naval Aviation Museum on base (if you like aircraft).
