For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ok Michigan Moms I need your help! We are going to Sarge's Meet and Greet the Thursday before our son graduates from boot camp and we are donating a basket to raffle off to help with the cost of the dinner. We decided to do a "Made in Michigan" basket. These are the things, so far, that I am going to put in there - Better Made Chips, Faygo, Vernors, Sanders Hot Fudge sauce and caramel sauce. I know there are more Michigan specific things out there but I am drawing a blank. What would you want to see in a basket of Michigan products?

Missisu I know you are originally from lapeer so I have to tell you, my daughter won miss Lapeer contest today. The question she was asked was who did she admire most and she said her brother in the navy serving our country. I'm so proud of both my kids today

Nicknukemom- My son said that the PT was nothing compared to what he had to do when he played soccer. I'm glad that he played sports in high school because that prepared him for a lot of that. He also was used to getting yelled at by his coaches.

Missisu, l am crossing my fingers for a call tomorrow. Last Saturday I got a phone call. He said a lot of the guys were having a hard time adjusting. He was more prepared because he played football, and football coaches yell at you all the time. He said they yell a lot more at b.c. I'm so happy for you. Your son will be home for ten days!!

You ladies are taking me down memory lane as my son 's PIR was in February 2009. He went on to nuke training and had two submarine deployments. He's on shore duty now, has a wife and two kids, and the Navy's been good for him. Best wishes and safety to your sailors and a strong heart for you moms.

Nicknukemom - he is not on hold right now. Just finished indoc at the training side of Great Lakes. Supposed to do fire school this week. We will know after that if he is in a class or has to wait again. What is your son up to - still doing well I hope.
