I am one of the new M4M's who attended the gathering at Zingerman's Roadhouse- it was so good to meet everyone!  I'm the one in pink and my son is on a sub. I got to have him home for 2 weeks at the beginning of March- such precious times!  It had been over 15 months since we were together.

Sharon- it sounds like a good plan for your son; the meds will quiet all that down pretty quickly. He's in my prayers.

It was so fun to meet up in A2! Looking forward to the next gathering, I like the wine tasting idea as well as the picture painting; but was also just happy to sit and chat 'n chew, lol.

Ruth, that is a funny cartoon!! I have seen it a few times and chuckle each time! :)

KathyB, in regards to the wine tasting, it would have to be on 22 June because the 15th is Father's Day. Don't think that day will work for anyone. Another idea is to do the Painting Sensations. There are a few places such as this, though under different names. That would be a fun time to have everyone do a painting while drinking wine. Another idea for a group outing!!

Our Marine went back to medical today for his poison oak/ivy and he is allergic to it. They will be placing that on his dog tags. He has continued to get worse over the weekend. He ended up seeing a Major today and he took the time to explain everything to him and how it has affected his system. He told him each time he gets it that the reaction will be worse and that is not good. They have him on steroids, antibiotic, antihistamine, and a cream. He is really a mess, it will take a bit to get him cleared up. Thank goodness his MOS training doesn't start for a few weeks. He can take this time to get healthy again. They were upset that Camp Pendleton released him to fly to VA. with having it. I am sure someone will hear about it. Yeah, he should have been held until he was cleared up. He returns to medical on Friday for a re-check. Prayers that he will better with all the meds they have him on.

Kathy, I know that place.  It is right next door to the painting with wine place, Painting Sensations.  I was at the Painting Sensations on Sat that is why I couldn't make the lunch. I am pretty sure that I am open in June for the wine tasting.  Basically, a 5 minute drive from my house. I won't need to car pool. LOL

Ruth, loved the cartoon.  My son is on a sub--so I can totally relate.

Looks like a fun time had by all the ladies.  You had a beautiful day for driving.

Thank you KathyB for driving today, Teri and I appreciate it. It was great to have been able to get together and have two new moms join us. Hope to get together again soon, thinking of a wine tasting with some handmade chocolates. Just need to see if they do Sunday tastings, Saturdays are booked for me personally through August due to graduation parties. Thanks again ladies, I truly enjoyed our time together!!
