Back home from corpsman graduation this morning. Thank goodness for Great lakes Air, Manistee to Milwaukee yesterday and back this evening. Met lots of Brandon's friends enjoyed a great ceremony and spent great time with my sailor. Glad to be back on this side of the lake where it's cooler and prettier, lol:)

@Uli, THANK YOU for the information. I will be making a phone call to confirm that we are able to do what we have been told all along. The new recruiters at the office are both new and totally inexperienced and it shows. So, one day at a time and prayers that things work out for us. Thanks again, so appreciate it!

Jaz04 - sorry to hear that phase 2 was taken away. Something similar happened with our son where they were told that needed to step up and keep the underaged kids from drinking (not the easyist thing to do). My son is usually the designated driver for his group of buddies.

Ruth - maybe I'll see you tomorrow morning at the Welcome Back Celebration haha. I missed meeting all of you in Muskegon earlier this month.

Ruth, he says he prefers to hang with those more his age anyways (he will be 20 next month) and that prefer not to hang out in bars. His dad is a recovering alocholic so he steers clear. He's spending most of his time studying and reading.

to Marianne, he has to report no later than Sept 16. He is going to the clinic in Sasebo.

Congratulations btmom on the graduation. I hope he does come home.

My son's class got their phase 2 taken away for the weekend because of underage drinking on Friday. Sixth incident in a month. What is happening in Gulfport that this is allowed? Poor guy didn't even have a chance to go out Friday night because he had watch from 2100 - 0100. He is good spirits despite that. Says "there is always next weekend. And those that did the drinking will pay in other ways." Guess there were some hangovers happening.

btmon - Sasebo Japan, NLT(?) - is your son going to be on base or assigned to a ship? My daughter's base is Sasebo, but she is a DC assigned to the Essex. Have a great trip to GL!
