Hi! My name is Tracey, I am a single mother of three(20,14,3) The 20 yr. old is my only son and just graduated Boot camp May 7th. he just arrived last night in Groton for sub school. I am from Newport, Michigan and I work as a Sterile tech. I would love to get to know more women who have kids in the navy, I have found the support to be the best from people who are experiencing the same. Look forward to meeting you all.

Happy Mother's Day!!! I will be remembering my mom with a prayer and a look up to the Heaven's. I lost her when Diego was four months old to cancer and I miss her so much every day. She would (she is) so proud of him and I know that she will be with him always!! Enjoy your day ladies!!!

I met a mom today in person that has a son currently in his third week of BC. HE will be doing IT after. It was cool because she is a friend of my sister's and we are on facebook together and have now met in person. She doesn't live that far from us either. I will be leaning on her when our son goes to BC. She tells me that her son calls a couple of times a week and she is feeling spoiled. I told her to enjoy it!!

Welcome Lisa! I am from Jackson orginally and am moving back on the 18 May. Hope to meet you when we have another Meet & Greet. I haven't met anybody yet, since I have been in Florida since Oct, 09. My son, Allen just left Oceana Naval Air Station, Virginia Beach, VA. He was stationed there for 2 years. He is a MA (Master-at-Arms) with the K-9 unit. He just finished Dog Handler Training in San Antonio, TX and is shipping out for Diego Garcia tomorrow (4 May) for a year. You will find that this is a very good place to be when you want to find any info and need a shoulder or ear. We all have been thru different and same situations with our sailors, so this is a good place to come to. Again, WELCOME ABOARD!!!

Lisa - We enjoyed living in Tecumseh...I worked at the HS in the attendance office until my 3rd child was born and my husband got tired of the drive to Metro Airport. My husband started out in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. After his parents gave up the dairy farming he went back to his true love and has worked for NWA/Delta for what will be 21 years in July.

Katie is DCFN - Damage Control Fireman....fire, water, chemical damage, etc. is what she does.

Welcome Lisa -I'm from Ypsilanti, but 3 of our 4 children were born at Bixby Hospital in Adrian. We lived in Tecumseh from 1986-91. Our daughter Katie is a DC on the USS Essex out of Sasebo, Japan.

Good to hear the positives of the week! Congrates Hell week grads!

I'm glad we have people like Rachel to fly those things I couldn't do it. Let us know how the oil spill goes in the golf. I loved living down there and this is going to hurt ALL of us in the long run.

Haven't herd from my boy in a while so can't give you an up date on my sailor but no news is good news on a Nuke Sub. I'm praying for all of your families tonight.
