My daughter left October 7th and arrived in GL on the 8th. I've rec'd 2 letters so far. She is in DIV 903 SHIP 06 and PIR is 12/5. She originally wanted to do Physical Therapy Tech, but would have had to wait until 2009, so she chose DC - Damage Control, after looking at her other options. Katie is very excited.

I can not remember if it was this group. But some one asked about the Rack Packs. My son Just e-mailed me about not sending one at this time because of too many thefts on board... That is too bad, they are all going to be together for 7 months and should respect each other and there personal property.... I just hope he is able to keep his things safe.

Hey Sharon, we used to live at Detroit Beach Club off Dixie Highway so many years ago! My brother and sister went to Jefferson High school but I was young and went to Hurd Road Elementary. All I remember was the cows that lived next to the school...recess could be stinky somedays!!!

Hello All, I am also fairly new to N4M's. I'm Rehne' and from St. Clair Shores... My Squid is currently deployed on the USS Nitze in the TR's group... It is great having other mom's to talk to, you can learn the little things that the kids just don't think to let you know, because they don't think it's important... like what all the slang and letters they talk in mean. Any ways I look forward to talking to you Rehne' (Renee)

Thanks Laurie, Robert will be studying to be a missle tech. I can not wait for Friday. seems like forever since I saw him. funny when they are under foot and driving you crazy as teenagers we can't wait for them to go out on their own, now I can't wait to see him. How long has your son been in Groton? What is he going to do on the sub? Rob said that he thinks he'll get to be on the USS Michigan as they try to place them on ships from their home states.

Hope everyone is doing well, I understand you have been seeing some rain. N. Chicago got about 10" this weekend, we talked to our son last night and GL is fine although I did hear that the main Exchange had to close for awhile due to a power outage.
