Walk'in in a winter wonderland!!!!  Unbelievable!  Still coming down at 9:30.  I didn't go to work this morning, couldn't get out.  And with another possible 5" coming . . .

It is not worth it.  They showed the snowplow guy that does our parking lot at work on TV and at 7am he said with 2 guys, it would take 4 hours to clear it.  The drifts are like Ruth said 3-5' high.  Take it easy everyone.

We ended up with 6"+ here.  Freezing rain came around 4 AM.  Very windy.  They had already decided to cancel most apointments at our Dr's office and have just the office manager come.  Her sister lives about 3 blocks away, so she could walk if she had to.  Both the jr hi school and college that my sons attend are closed.  So, I'll have plenty of help shoveling.  Unless one of our neighbors with snow blowers gets to it first!

Got into work just fine today--no snow day for me.  Took a bit longer than usual, but really not bad.  Really, we just got maybe 8 inches or so.  It's hard to tell, 'cause it's on top of what snow we had already.  Part of me was hoping for the 15 or so inches they said we might get, but no.  As usual, the big stuff passed us by.  Boy, is it cold and windy though!

I would go again Colleen, it wasnt a huge exhibit but interesting.  Not very gross, which we were looking forward to.  It was $15 a person, dh got student discount and parking was half price for museum goers.  Driving at that time was just fine.  I think the news got everyone up in the air.  I guess that is ok then most people will stay off the roads.  They even shut down the Semi drivers from the company my husband works for.  No service today.  Oh and of coarse the schools all around us.  Stay safe and warm!!

Oh Dunesmom, I can only imagine the smiles on our faces when we see those cheesecakes.  One for you and one for me.  My husband & I were thinking about going to the Van Andel to see the Body Revealed.  How much did it cost to get in?  And you would recommend seeing it?  How long does it take to view the exhibit?  How was driving in this crap?  Man, I don't think I'm going to make it to work tomorrow if this keeps up.

Hooyah Ruth to your Son!  that is going to be so great for him for sure.  Just got back from Grand Rapids, my dh and i went to the Van Andel museum to see  that body's revieled.  Very cool enjoyed it.  My daughter talked to her brother and he starts school tomorrow at 5:30 a.m.  Said he was glad to be doing something, yuck school but glad too.  Ok put me down for eatting a cheese cake, i can do it too.  Be safe and warm Michiganders!

Colleen we've had plenty, over 50 inches since Jan. 1st, but hey it's winter, we deal with it, although hubby is getting a little tired of shoveling;)
