Welcome Maryl59!! Oh my gosh, I lived in Milan and in Royal Oak and worked for Ohio Casualty Ins. Co. that used to be in Hamilton, OH. Boy do we have a lot in common when it comes to geography. We are meeting on Feb 26 at Arnie's in Rockford at 1:30pm. You and your husband are welcome. Just let me know how many are coming so I can get seating arranged. I love this site. My husband thinks it was the best thing for me. Besides bringing pictures of your Sailor, bring tissues!! Thanks for the reminder Dunesmom!
I also want to see the body exhibit. I went to the Lady Diana exhibit, and man was it beautiful. Absolutely stunning. I would be happy with just 1 diamond from any of those pieces. They are HUGE! Her wedding dress, fabulous. It was just wonderful.
WELCOME Stace and Mary!!! You will get exactly what you need here that is for sure. Congrats to your Sailors!!!
I am in Lapeer County, though didn't grow up here. My family used to go to my aunt and uncle's in Grand Rapids alot when we were kids. They lived on Thornapple River Dr. and I remember all the moms going to the Meijer there, it was the only one in MI. back then and I got hooked on the apple fritters from the bakery!! Still love them today, though don't get them often as I don't shop there. lol
Thanks Colleen, hubby is trying to switch weekend with someone else as it is alos his birthday weekend.
OH nikosmom i'm already excited for you and yes we all understand whole heartedly about missing our 'sailors' now im cry.... geesh my husband is getting so sick of me blubbering all the time, lol...

ok it snowstormed all weekend and now it's raining. was going to go to that body thingy at the Van Andel muesum this afternoon but i do believe the rain is supose to freeze. Has anyone seen this exibit yet?
Hugs to all and tissues too!
Hello Stace! Well, you don't have too much longer to wait! Bet you're excited and just counting down the days! My son graduates 3/11. What will your daughter be doing after graduation?
We are originally from the Detroit and Ann Arbor area and I pass through Brighton on my way up to Grand Rapids.( Actually, I have stopped and shopped up there at your HomeGoods.) We have missed Mi. quite a bit and my husband is very happy to be back home. I have enjoyed the time I get to spend up there.
