I think we got about 4" of that beautiful (not) white stuff here in GR.  I've shoveled a couple of times already.  It has stopped for the moment.  We are supposed to get more.  Hope your heat gets back on Michimom - soon!

Marianne, we are pretty darn close!! Michmom, Farm. Hills isn't too far away. My daughter is still is bootcamp and her PIR is 2/11/11. She will then move on over to her A school across the street.

nikosmom,  look to the right of your screen and see the sites listed for N4M merchandise:  printfection, zazzle, cafepress.  I have gotten stuff at zazzle, cafepress, (non-Navy stuff) and also soldiercity.com.

stace, I'm not too far from you--Farmington Hills.  I'm planning on going to the January Get-Together.  Hope you can make it, too.

We got some more snow, about 2-3 inches.  For once, I wasn't too unhappy about shoveling snow, since our heat went out last night.  Went out and shoveled the driveway, and the house seemed warm when I got back in.  Meanwhile, waiting for the heating guy we know from church to come over and get us warm again.

Well about 8 more inches of snow this morning in Arcadia.  I guess shoveling is on my agenda for today:)  Should make for good snowshoeing tomorrow with our ski club.

Nikosmom - if the weather is in your favor, you are always welcome to join us in GR - once we get a date. I know it's a little bit of a drive, but like Lorraine said, there are different ones popping up.  There's one in Lansing at the end of this month that we are going to attend, if the weather is good.

Nikosmom - there are quite a few Navy moms in the Grand Rapids area. I live SE of Battle Creek. I have attended a Meet and Greet in Muskegon and in Jackson. Stay tuned for announcements of meetings. Anyone can host a meeting, usually at a restaurant or some public place. Check out the ones immediately above these comments in the Discussion Forum.

I think I've seen apparel on zazzle.com. I bought a NAVY ring and an anchor slide for a necklace on Overstock.com.
