OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This was posted on another group:

"Be sure to check with your local Old Navy stores during the weekend leading up to July 4th...each year, they hold tables where people can send cards (donated by Hallmark) to deployed Troops, and whenever someone purchases certain items they are highlighting, Old Navy will send those items to the Troops as well! My local Blue Star Mothers group will be manning the tables at our local Old Navy stores, so check it out in your areas, too!"
