This is the first Christmas my son has been home to celebate. Last year he spent it in San Diego. The last years before that it was boot camp and deployment. We did see him in October when he was granted a few days to come home and say good bye to his Grandma who died. I am squeezing him tight and hold on to the memories that we have made. These are the times that keep me going when he is not home. I pray for each of your sons or daughters who can not be home with you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

Merry Christmas, Minnesota Navy Families. Let's hope for a short winter or a huge lottery win to pay our utility bills!

Its been awhile but I have to wish you all a "Happy Holiday".
My son is not able to make it home for the holidays since only 1% of his group can be out of the country at one time. But at least he calls or skypes all the time now that he isn't on the ship so its okay not great but better then nothing !
He is taking a few days liberty and just hanging out and exploring Japan.
Again have a very blessed holiday !!!!!
