Hello and good morning. I have a favor to ask, but first a quick backstory behind it. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in Jan 2013. He entered hospice late April of this year and is now nearing the end of his journey. I just got the confirmation email from the Red Cross that my request for emergency leave for my son has been verified and sent to his command. My favor request is if you could say a little prayer that his leave is approved and that he makes it home before his dad passes. Thanks so much and I hope everyone had a safe holiday weekend.

Happy Independence Day to all.  Let's all celebrate the occasion.

MN_MOM:  I would have loved to attend the luncheon, however, the notice was so late in coming that there was no way I could attend. Maybe next time.

Hi midwestnavymom, I've been meaning to post something too but life got crazy. I'm picking up my son tonight! He's home for a little while. Monday Tuesday Thursday or Fridays work after July 8 for lunch during the day.

Our son is home for a few weeks before going to his next base. So nice to have him home!! Yay :-) I will set up a lunch on a week day to get together. Is there a day that works best for everyone?

I am off for the summer (yay!) so anything works for me.

Lunch on a weekday(M-W-F) would work for me.  I would try to combine it with some business I do with Edina Art center, so South or West metro location would work best.

I could maybe sneak out of work for an hour or so for a weekday lunch. Weeknights and weekends won't work for me right now.
