For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

bbcregular, that's interesting as my daughter wants an enlisted career also. She has told me some of the reasons but I suspect that there are more.
Unfortunately my sailor girl has decided that she is married and independent and that mom is a nuisance. Sigh. I'm truly annoyed with her as she refuses to add me to her FRG. She said she gave them the information when she got to her ship and there's nothing more she can do. In fact I know that she can do something and sent her the information, but she's just flat refusing to do it. My husband says that she's just trying to adult and thinks that she can prove that she's adult by not having her mom listed on everything. Hoping she grows out of this one, her sister did. In the meantime I'm struggling with feeling shut out.
We've had our share of cold weather and there's lots of snow piled up on my ski hill. Been enjoying lots of ski time, it's good for the soul.

Happy Monday ladies, I have been silent for a while. Daughter and new SIL are beginning to understand that they have to write their own marriage rules while at separate duty stations. Income tax return is yet another decision they have to make. Daughter has been self reliant and now she has to learn to the give and take of marriage. SIL did pass his polygraph and is CTI 3rd Class stationed in GA. We have been running from the cold and stayed the last two months in FL. Both hubby and I spent 2 weeks recovering from the flu. We have one more week of RV living before we return to the house. Did decide to dress the house up to put on the market. We are going to take the plunge and travel full time in the RV. Sailor daughter is OK with the plan because she has already said she would not return to the area to live. She is still talking career but now as enlisted. She has her reasons for staying enlisted and I will accept them.
Anna, I will continue to pray for Jenn. Such a quick divorce. Glad you are available to be with her and her doggies while she readjusts to single life. Congratulations on Mission Commander. I agree with JayDee, good things are coming her way.

Thanks JayDee!! I sure hope so. Now she just wants to wrap up this year of deployments and become an instructor!!! In the meantime, hubby and I are learning how to take care of dogs!!! One of her dogs - the largest one - is epileptic. We witnessed him having two seizures the other night. Scary but I think we'll know how to handle it in the future!!!

Jenn is doing ok, getting ready to leave on another deployment in a couple weeks. Her ex filed the papers and they were finalized on Jan 26!! One month before their 3rd anniversary. I can't believe that this divorce happened just a little more than one month after he announced he was moving out. Took a whole lot longer to plan the wedding than it was to throw it all away!!!!
On a happier note - she also made Mission Commander recently!!!
