Baileysmom,

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE  those pictures!!! I showed them to the hubby sitting next to me and started to choke up explaining how your daughter just graduated BC and got to see her two girls again!!!!  Thank you for sharing and please thank your brave girl for her service.

MamaBear and lovey,

So happy your girls made it. How are both of you doing?  Yes those first three weeks are really hard to not hear from them!!

lovey,

There was a Navy Dads website awhile ago, not sure if it is still active or not but most of the navy spouses groups I've seen are for wives instead of husbands.  I would suggest just keep searching groups here by any keywords of spouses, husbands, etc and see if you can find something for him.

Jean,

The heat in WA is making news here in Colorado too.  Stay safe out there and hope it breaks soon!!! So glad I got to see the pics also.  Wish I could tell why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!!!!!  It is frustrating!!!!

Julyasmom,

I've been on the shores of Lake Superior.  Beautiful country up there- I've lived in Marquette for awhile and also spent a weekend at Whitefish Point.  Sounds like you might be near there!!!  Enjoy your quiet and relaxation!!!!

DepthCharge4,

Welcome!!!  Hope you daughter has a safe journey.  Feel free to share what you are comfortable with, just not too much detail. I hope she enjoys her new location!!!  Sending you a personal message on your profile page.

Good morning Ladies!

We are out in the middle of nowhere doing nothing....and loving it! :-)

Jean...we were up on Lake Superior yesterday at 1 pm 50 degrees..cooler right on the water. And exteamly foggy! Too bad we couldn't even our temps out a bit! Did get to watch one freighter go through Soo Locks though.

When we get home the count down is on. South to do for the going away party and then her leaving. Can you get a room from the show Horders cleaned, packed, and ready to go in 3 weeks? Let's hope so! :-)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning to Everyone.

While our heat wave has began. It is suppose to be in the mid 90's today. That is just to hot for Western Washington. We are all worried about how dry it is with the 4th coming up. That night will be a bad night for the fire department I am sure. Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Babysitting duty tonight. 5 weeks to go and it will change again. LOL.

Hello, Moms. My daughter is driving cross country to her first command as we post. I have her on Find Friends and get occasional texts and chats from her. She is loving the drive and will get to her base on Friday or Saturday. Can't wait to hear what she thinks of her new surroundings in an entirely new environment from where she grew up!

Hi all, I am glad you are still alive, Blondie.

I am doing good, Anna, thanks. My youngest is still here visiting. A friend last night asked if she might join the military too. I said "No". I do not want another child in the military No thank you.

Good Morning to Everyone.

Anna, I am glad you got to see them this time. I don't know why sometimes you can and sometimes you can't. I will have to look into that. She is growing up so fast. When we were getting her 1 year pictures she stood up all by herself for most of the pictures. I told my daughter that it means she will be walking very soon and then we will be running after her more. She still love to put everything in her mouth so we are always on top of her. I still babysit her on Mondays and Thursday so Christina can go to school. Tell you the truth I think I am getting burned out. I need a break from it. But will keep going until Christina graduates. I need some time for me. I seem to be spending a lot more time with them while I am not working. almost every day.
