Happy Monday everyone.  Our sailor is gone and safely aboard her ship.  She called us when she was getting ready to board the transport out to the ship and also sent me a picture that someone obviously took of her.  Since then it's been quiet, but her husband text me yesterday to say that she'd emailed him needing some paperwork so we know she's safely on board.  He said she does not have an email for the ship yet but will email us when she gets one and has time.  I'm just glad to know she's safely there.

herNavymom, that's great! I'll definitely let her know. I've been praying for her (them all)... I know they have a PT test today, from what I understand. Hoping and praying for the best!

Etsi'sMom.  Our daughters are in the same ship and div.  Have your daughter look mine up.  Her name is Courtney, I mean SR Chason haha.   I am overseas and as of Saturday when I missed her call (we were bike riding and no cell, just a landline) she had not received ANY of my letters.  So that is discouraging I am sure for her but she sounded very good when she spoke to her brother.  Hang in there. It is an adjustment but maybe our girls can lean on each other.   Hugs momma.

I have a little bragging to do for both officer daughter and sailor son.  Jenn is on her check ride and it will take place until the end of the month!!!  She said so far so good so I pray that continues!!!

Son got another award: For volunteer service.  He goes to the selection board for CPO this month so say a prayer he gets chosen.  We'll hear sometime in July!!  Here's his pic

Esti'sMom,

LOL I understand that bittersweet feeling!!!  Like the one week I didn't get a letter from my daughter because she used her time to write a letter to her boyfriend!!!  We remind ourselves we have to share - even though we don't want to!!!

JayDee,

I hope you hear from your girl soon that she made it out there safely.  I hope she has a good time on her ship!!!  You'll have to keep us posted on what you hear!!!

Blondie,

Wow, that's going to take some readjusting for everyone I'm sure!!  Is she planning on staying where she is when hubby deploys or will she go back home??
