Esti's Mom, I found that my daughter would tell me one story and her boyfriend a slightly different story because she didn't want to worry me.  Sometimes she'd tell me about things that were going wrong.  I'd worry about them until the next call and when I'd ask she'd say "that was last week, it was no big deal, why are you worried?".  Sometimes they just need to blow off steam and need us to listen.  It can be hard as we're used to step in and fixing things, but they need to learn to fix it themselves, and they do.

My daughter just flew out to meet her carrier.  She flew commercial overseas.  There were several bumps along the way and I provided the information she asked for and let it be.  Things turned out fine, she handled it great and I had less stress because I let it go.  All that being said, I'm so glad she's at her destination and all is well.  Waiting to get word that she's arrived on her ship, hopefully I'll get that info soon.

My daughter called her boyfriend this morning... so, bitter sweet. He's telling me how it went... and doesn't sound the greatest. I'm glad she got to talk to him, at least... maybe help boost her morale more. I did find out she got her wisdom teeth out on Tuesday. I'm not going to lie, I cried some... I miss her and want to comfort her. Glad to hear she loves me and is doing "okay".

you nailed it ShawnMom & spyder.

Congrats Anna

Hugs Esti'sMom

My daughter got her signed Official papers, she is out of the Navy.  Kind of sad really, she was in for 10 years.  Of course her husband is still in (lifer) he changes commands in Oct. and then deploys shortly after, we have a date but we all know how that goes with the Navy!

been hot here, then rain storms and cools off...repeat. I think our rainy season is finally over.  I hope, tired of storm damage and flooding. 90-100/70's hot muggy nights hard to sleep, then 70's/50's (my kind of weather). wheat and straw season here so we need dry warn days.  rain and wind damage could ruin the crop and too hot could kill people.  this weekend would be great but just got 3-4 inches of rain again yesterday....Always something!  Hoping to bury our internet cable while ground is soggy and then redo our roof.  barn needs lifted and new foundation or moved.....

Hoping next weekend to do my dad's porch roof, carport and make him new barn doors.

15th, 7 of us are going to visit my son and daughter-in-law. Then Aug. 5th I leave again to visit daughter and granddaughter!!!!  Taking my sister-in-law with us and hopefully our son and grandson (Connor) So gonna be a very busy 6 weeks, trying to keep up with garden and yard work etc...

Work, is work. LOL  they're trying to change billing companies. What a mess!  They think just send it differently, ah no, I have to notify Medicare/Medicaid and most ins. companies, wait 30 days.....and doctors aren't willing to wait or to fill out all the paper work for EDI, I keep hearing we did this already!  UGG, hence why I need all the "vacations"  Believe me, roofing and building barn doors is NOT a vacation!

I've got to the point where I don't get paid overtime, so I don't Work overtime!  I have vacation days, I'm taking them.  I put paper work on their desks and don't worry about it.   I date Everything, so when they ask what's this I can say I don't remember that was 3 months ago.  What is she gonna do Fire me?!  LOL

Spyder013 I'm making sure to keep uplifting letters... she doesn't need to know I'm a mess at times... that's for sure. :) She also told us to not miss her too much lol. I've been making a concentrated effort to have my phone with me, just in case.
ShawnMom thank you!! It's so nice to have support by others going through (or have been) the same. And I'm trying to remember to keep my phone with me at all times... I about freak when I walk away from it, since I forgot to grab it. :)

It is tough on them, but remember that by the time you receive her letter, she has moved on. Just keep your letters uplifting, she will be fine. Our daughters are awesome as well as amazing! Also, be sure to have your phone at all times, because you never know when they may be able to call:).

Hi all!! My daughter's PIR is August 4th (Ship 12 Div 235). I received my first real letter yesterday. I was so excited, and I'm surprised I didn't cry lol. Although, it's hard to read about how she's not doing so well (emotionally). I just hope she's received our letters, and is feeling encouraged once again. It's hard not being there for her (physically) but have a lot of faith in what she can accomplish.
