Good morning everyone! My daughter also ranked up to E3, yay!! She is currently underway but will be back soon. It's been rough, her ship has been underway alot. So very little communication :( At the end of December, her and her boyfriend will be coming home. So excited to see them, it's been 6 months. Early next year she will be deployed, I guess all this underway stuff is just working me up for when they're deployed. I am so very proud of her. Lord, allow the time to pass slowly while they are here

Anna - she's coming here! It's been a year and a half since we have seen her.

Suzan,

Shoot, I missed your comment!!!  So happy you get to see your girl!!!  Are you going to Japan or is she coming home??

Hi Spyder!!!!

Vickyrun,

I totally understand!!  Yes, military is hard on marriages.  My daughter's marriage to another sailor failed.  Glad to hear your girl is doing doing well!!!

Chihuahuamamma,

You're so welcome!!!

Congrats Coolmom!!

ShawnMom,

E3 is the highest rate they can get out of bootcamp.  After bc they get training in a job specialty (what used to be called ratings) and then they have to take a test for that specialty and the petty officer test.  These tests are given Navy wide at a particular time each year, from 3rd class petty officer all the way to Master Chief.

Yes, Navy very hard on marriage for a lot of people. My daughter also divorced, but is doing awesome now! She chose not to re-enlist due to military frustration...glad yours did though:)!
Merry Christmas to all!

My daughter has reenlisted in the Navy. Her and her sailor husband are separated. The military is tough for marriages. Sorry, I have not been on her3e in a long time, Anna. A lot that I have to say about the Navy would not be appropriate to post online. But I am happy to talk on the phone or meet in person. My Navy Mom friends have been a great support the last 7 1/2 years and I know they will continue to be in the future.
