Good Morning to Everyone. Still no baby. Still isn't going to the hospital. She said pretty much this labor has stopped. Bummer

Wow, sorry I've been missing for awhile.  Trying to get some minor trailer repairs taken care of that we've put off for awhile while moving around.  Tomorrow I have a Dr appt with the VA - a primary care for San Diego's VA.  I'm prepared to go to battle because I spent 7 hours in the ER two weeks ago to get an ortho consult and I haven't heard one peep from them.  I called Tuesday this week and was told the notes said "they" want me to establish primary care to consider other options!!!  WTH, they didn't even look at the MRI in my file or they would know there are no other options!!!  I can't even bend the knee without excruciating pain and if they say I have to go to Physical Therapy I'm going to refuse.  I can't take any more pain and working the muscles is not going to repair this tear!!!  I am so frustrated and angry I just don't know what to do anymore!!!

Sorry for the vent!!!

Oneofalot,

I hope you get that precious grandbaby tomorrow!!!!

Shawn'sMom,

You got very good advice on here.  Start writing to her the day she leaves and number your envelopes so when you can finally send them she can read them in order.  Send anything that can boost her spirits, comics, jokes, news from home.  If she has a pet, send her a letter from her pet.  Upload pictures to your computer and print them out on the paper you write your letter on so she can "see" what's going on at home without adding bulky pictures to her letter.  You won't hear from her much for up to 3 or 4 weeks at first, but always remember, no news is good news!!!  They are kept so busy but mail call is always a moral boost to them!!!!  BC is the toughest but all in all it is also the shortest time she will spend out of touch!!!!  And just know that you can ALWAYS come here for support - we all have been in that boat before!!  *pun intended***

Blondie,

Good luck on your interview!!!

Oleander,

So glad your Halloween event was a good one.  I hope we get to see some pictures!!!!

JayDee,

Funny story about the mascara!!!!

No baby yet. She hasn't even left for the hospital yet. Doctor said if she continues this way they'll induce by the weekend.

Oleander's right.  BC is hardest so far.  My girl hasn't deployed yet but I'm sure that's a whole new set of crazy mom moments.  BUT when she does I know that I have awesome support right here thanks to all of you wonderful ladies.  Thank you all for all your support!

Hi everybody.

JayDee and Anna - We had an awesome Halloween, somewhere around 2,000 trick or treaters! Not sure what we won but the neighborhood FB page said we won one of the categories.  Bottom line, we had a great time.

Blondie - when do you find time to breathe? Good luck this afternoon! Keep us posted

Hang in there oneofalot - she'll be here soon!

ShawnMom, savor every minute before she leaves. I think we all agree with JayDee that at least to this point bc was the hardest because of the lack of communication. But write to her every day while she's there. Your letters to her will keep her going and will remind her that even tho she can't call you're thinking of her and supporting her through it all.

Comment by JayDee659 on November 3, 2016 at 1:23pm

ShawnMom, I agree with Blondie, lots of pictures.  When you see her at PIR she'll be different (in a good way).

She will make new friends in the Navy and the bond will be strong.  They isolate them from the real world, break them down and build them back up.  I worried so much (it's normal) but they made my strong girl even stronger and she's even more incredible than she was.  What cracked me up though was that she purchased mascara for PIR and wore it!  My girl never wore make up and she kept batting her eyes at me during PIR.  I laughed so hard when I realized what she was doing.
