Hi Navy sisters!!! I've missed you all so much!

Love the picture JayDee! I'm so sorry your sailors wedding and graduation were cancelled, but so happy you were able to spend time with your girls.

Wow Rolliesmom-- Haiti! Prayers being said for your sailor, the crew, and all our military assisting with the relief efforts! I love hearing that you're getting updates through FB! My sailor deploys next year and like JayDee I'm trying to get a handle on a few things before she leaves.

We have similar weather spyder, horrible winds Saturday and Sunday and about 90 degrees. Going outside felt like standing in front of a blow dryer. Ugh.

My sailor's been underway quite a bit, lots of training. They got caught in some rough seas recently, just about everyone was seasick, falling out of their racks, chairs and tables sliding from one side to the other- apparently it was like dodgeball meets vomit. But they've had great experiences too - other nations on board, even mine-hunting dolphins!

Aurora is doing fantastic. A little clingy to mom these days but is doing good. She is having another baby girl. There calling her Haley. Like the comit.

Great picture!
Hopefully everyone is doing well, been really quiet on this site. Nothing new to report here, still mid-90s...ugh but mornings are nice on the 60s.

Oh no JayDee, sorry to hear that. Will the graduation and wedding be rescheduled soon? But at least you were able to have those precious moments with them, sorry your hubby had to miss out. Wonderful picture, thank you for sharing that.
Not sure if having a Captain who keeps families updated on FB is the norm but it is surely appreciated. He has never posted anything but I sure hope it continues especially when they deploy next year. All I can say is keep checking your sailors FB page.
Oneofalot, good morning, great to see you here. How's Aroura doing. I seen in an earlier post, she's expecting a sibling? Hows mama and baby doing? Boy or girl or not telling?

Good Morning Everyone. Hope everyone is doing well

Good morning Roliesmom!  Great to see you too!

Haiti, wow I cannot imagine what it's like there.  I'm glad that they keep you updated on FB. I wonder if that's the norm?  My daughter's not had a deployment yet so I'm collecting all the information I can to try and be prepared.

Hurricane Matthew cancelled the Power School graduation and my daughter's wedding.  Since they had time off my sailor & husband and her older sister & boyfriend came home to me.  It was so nice to have them all home at once and my sailor was even home on her birthday!  My husband missed them though as the hurricane brought work for him and he left before they arrived.

Sailor is back at base, but no word yet as to when they start prototype.  I guess the hurricane has messed up the schedule a bit.

Here's a picture of us girls:

Oh JayDee, how nice it is to open my email and see your name and immediately knowing this site was up and running. How I've missed you all! I checked this site yesterday and it was still down. Funny though, I went to the Navydad site and the was a gal named "blondie" and she stated in a message, I miss my ladies, I hope they find there way here. Immediately I thought it was our Blondie but in reading her earlier posts, it was not. But it was darn good to see a familiar name.
My sailor is in Haiti, her ship is there to assist in the humanitarian relief. Before they left they were underway for a few weeks but pull back into port to load up and leave for Haiti. It's rough with no contact but I email her and it she has time, she'll email back. They are doing an amazing job! The ships Captain keeps us updated on their Facebook page. She is tired, as I can imagine all of them are. So I ask for her, prayers for endurance and strength through these times and a restful and rejuvenating sleep. How are your families and sailors doing?
