We are in WA, at Snoqualmie Falls right now.  Tomorrow we go explore the falls!!

bbcregular,

Yes, we learned quite a bit over the last almost 2 years.  I don't know how long your trailer is but be careful on HWY 1.  We have a 40 footer and there is a section of the highway you can't take with a trailer that long.  We took 1 just north of San Francisco and then 101 all the way up the Oregon coast.  It was breathtaking but there were many times when poor hubby was white knuckle driving!!!  There are some scary cliffs on the roadway.  A couple times I could swear we could see the trailer's license plate!!!!!  But enjoy every moment where ever you go, it's a fantastic opportunity to see so much of this beautiful country!!!  And I will keep your daughter in my prayers for her final tests!!!!

Spyder,

I hope it starts to cool for you now!!!  Did you get any flooding from the leftover hurricane in Mexico???

Catsmom,

I need to get some info from you on nearby campgrounds.  You promised me a walk on the beach!!!!  PS I love sunsets!!!!

Hi everyone,
Cooling here. In the mid 80's. Hope it doesn't get hot again. bob regular, sounds fun! We did that on a smaller scale this summer. We flew to Norfolk to visit with our girl. Decided to rent a car and drive back. Took us a little over 2 weeks to make it back to Southern Calif. Loved it. Crossing things off the bucket list. Crystal would call me everyday and say your still in Tenn. LOL Safe travels. Monterey is so beautiful. Love the drive up HWY 1.
Safe travels Anna.
spider hope it cools quickly for you.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Sounds like a fabulous adventure you are on. You will love Monterey and the entire coastal area.safe travels and just keep heading west. Still really hot in AZ, but starting to cool a little
Don't think we will hit 125 again this summer

Hello Everyone, We are traveling toward Monterey to see my sweet Sailor.  Traveling offers limited internet so I save my data to read as an email only.  Be assured that as I read a prayer goes up for all your needs. I do sneak in a look at the photos each of your are posting.

Anna we did go to a CAT scale to weigh each of our axles once we were loaded.  We left 29 August and I already see that I really did not need everything that I packed.  We are on a travel learning curve.  We are taking the southern route to CA and the weather is HOT.

Daughter and friends are doing a where is Waldo type search on us.  Where are B......'s parents? We are currently in TX and going to be here a while to complete bucket list items.  Can't wait to just be on Route 66.  Scheduled to arrive in Monterey on 7 October which is a Friday and will be able to spend two days with daughter!  Even though she still has a lot of work ahead of her before her DLPT she is excited about our being in her area till she graduates (Prayerfully).  This has been a long journey for us.  An 18 month A school is rough and she will not know her status till after she takes the DLPT and gets her security clearance. Big growing experience in patience, hard work and faith.

Keep posting Ladies.  It has been so encouraging to me to be able to pray for each of you, your sailors and all the grandchildren and DILs & SILs.

You're welcome! If either of you make it there let me know how it is, I haven't been up there since they opened. I understand there's no kitchen but they invite anyone to bring in or order take out to have delivered.
