Yes, Skyping is awesome. I would of not been able to make it through deployment with my daughter without it. I still Skype her even though she is a few miles away. It is easier sometime then to call. I get to see her reaction to things then just here it in her voice. Splash I was wondering what happened to you. Missed you.

Just Skyped with my precious Navy grrl! It's been 4 months & she looked soooo good in her uniform. She did not get a graduation so we did not get to see her in person but she has waited for this day so bravely, I am happy the Navy did not doodle around. God bless the USO too. I had heard they did good things for our service members but seeing her on their computer was a gift! Did not realize the Navy makes recruits/ sailors pay for every little thing like postage/ phone/ laundry soap, etc. She only had $6 since I have not been able to send her wallet, cash, etc but USO gave her what she needed.
Blonde, I hope you & your daughter will get answers soon. My prayers are with you because I know stress kills. Stay strong.

DoubleNavyMom. Good to hear about your daughter. My daughter got really sick in boot camp too. By the grace of God she managed to pass everything.

DoubleNavyMom, thank you. But I am not that strong, I just have good coping skills. This site has helped me alot, since parents whose kids are not military just don't understand. I also go to Navy For Moms Meet and Greats in my area. My fellow Navy Moms are some of my closes  friends. I am a double Navy Mom now too, as both my daughter and my son-in-love are sailors.
